Grailstone initially began as a lockdown project which was never completed. Following Astral Festival 2022, Alex Studer (guitar, vocals - also from YO NO SE) relaunched the project, joining forces with drummer Hubert 'Ceb' Lewandowski to begin jamming out the songs that would become Peace Perfect Peace. Once the songs were mostly written, Haz Wheaton (ex Hawkwind) was roped in to perform bass duties on the album. The tracks were recorded in Alex's own Astral Studio over the course of a cold couple of days in January of 2022. In a technical disaster straight out of a studio engineer's nightmare, an entire day's was mysteriously lost, so the bulk of the album you hear was recorded in a single day. It was then mixed by Alex Studer and mastered by Jack Endino.
