About the Album
"Through The Sands" showcases the band's continued evolution, featuring prog-inspired riffs and eastern psychedelic influences that run through the core of their upcoming second album. The full record represents a maturation in songwriting while maintaining the band's trademark experimental energy.
Insistent upon experimentation and improvisation, Bubblegum Hypnosis' music traverses the sonical landscape, carrying their listeners on an explosive journey of excitement and intensity. Sometimes dirty, sometimes clean; sometimes reggae, sometimes mean - their music takes influence from a variety of artists, styles and sounds, whilst embodying the anything-goes attitude of both prog and psych rock.
The album features thunderous, thrash-infused passages in tracks like 'Shaitan's Sword,' the prog-inspired riffs of 'Through the Sands' and 'Pillars of Infinity,' and culminates with the epic 16-minute improvised journey 'Bubblegum Hypnosis.'
